Full-Time Posting date 08-Oct-2026 Area(s) of interest: Operations Location(s): Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver As a Strategic Communications Advisor within the Strategy Execution & Enablement Office, you play a key role in bringing Commercial Banking's strategic priorities to life.
Working in close partnership with the Strategic Communications Lead, you support the execution of the sector's five-year strategic plan by developing and delivering communications that drive employee understanding, engagement, and adoption across strategic transformation initiatives.
Acting as the communications partner for assigned strategic pillars, you collaborate with leaders, program teams, and key stakeholders to translate business priorities into impactful communication strategies and meaningful employee experiences.
Through your expertise in communications, storytelling, stakeholder engagement, and change enablement, you help ensure the successful execution of Commercial Banking's transformation agenda.
Your role Act as the communications partner for assigned strategic pillars, working closely with pillar leaders, program managers, and stakeholders to support the successful execution of key business priorities.
Develop and execute comprehensive communication plans aligned with the overall communications strategy, ensuring clear, consistent, and engaging messaging across multiple transformation initiatives.
Translate complex business objectives and strategic initiatives into compelling communications that drive employee understanding, engagement, readiness, and adoption.
Create and manage a wide range of communication deliverables, including executive presentations, leadership messages, town hall content, newsletters, intranet articles, FAQs, success stories, videos, and employee communications.
Advise leaders and initiative owners on communication best practices, stakeholder engagement approaches,
and change communication strategies while identifying and mitigating communication risks.
Measure communication effectiveness, gather stakeholder and employee feedback, and recommend improvements to strengthen engagement and support the achievement of strategic objectives.
Your team You are part of the Strategy Execution & Enablement Office, a team dedicated to supporting the successful delivery of Commercial Banking's strategic priorities and transformation initiatives.
Working alongside pillar leaders, change management specialists, project teams, and the Strategic Communications Lead, you contribute to high-impact initiatives that shape the future of the sector.
This role offers broad exposure across Commercial Banking and the opportunity to influence how strategy is communicated, understood, and embraced throughout the organization.
Prerequisites Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in internal communications, corporate communications, strategic communications, public relations, or a related field.
Proven experience developing and executing communication plans supporting business transformation, strategic initiatives, or organizational change.
Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling abilities, with the capability to simplify complex concepts and tailor messages to diverse audiences.
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience partnering with leaders and collaborating across multiple teams.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and communication workstreams in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
Experience supporting large-scale transformation programs, change initiatives, or enterprise projects.
Knowledge of the financial services or banking industry is considered an asset.
