Education: No degree, certificate or diploma Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years Tasks Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations Load and unload goods Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle Receive and relay information to central dispatch Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses Driver's License (Class 3 or D) Type of trucking and equipment Dump truck Transportation/travel information Valid driver's licence Work conditions and physical capabilities Physically demanding Personal suitability Productive interpersonal skills Reliability Patience Screening questions Are you available to start on the date listed in the job posting?
