Our client is looking for an experienced IT Program Manager to lead technology activities associated with a corporate divestiture and separation.
The Program Manager will coordinate multiple IT workstreams, stakeholders, vendors, and dependencies to support the separation of technology services, systems, applications, data, and infrastructure.
The ideal candidate has experience leading complex IT transformation, separation, merger/acquisition, or divestiture programs and is comfortable working across business and technical teams in a changing environment.
This is a 5 month contract to start and % remote.
Calgary candidates are preferred Must Haves 8+ years of IT project/ program management experience leading complex, multi-workstream initiatives.
Experience managing an I T divestiture, separation, merger/acquisition, or major IT transformation program .
Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple IT workstreams, dependencies, risks, and stakeholders.
Strong program governance, planning, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience working with both business and technical teams in a complex enterprise workplace.
Nice-to-Haves Experience with IT separation planning and TSA (Transition Services Agreement) activities.
Experience with Day 1 / Day 2 readiness and cutover planning.
Experience across infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, data,
networking, or end-user computing workstreams.
Experience managing third-party vendors and service providers. PMP or other formal project/program management certification What You Will Do Lead the overall IT program plan for a divestiture, coordinating multiple technology workstreams and dependencies.
Establish program governance, plans, milestones, risks, issues, decisions, and reporting.
Coordinate across applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, networks, end-user technology, and other IT functions as required.
Work with business and IT stakeholders to define priorities, dependencies, transition requirements, and key deliverables.
Manage program risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and decisions through to resolution.
Coordinate internal teams, vendors, and third-party service providers involved in the separation.
Track progress against the program plan and provide clear status reporting to leadership and program stakeholders.
Support transition and cutover planning, ensuring technology dependencies and readiness activities are identified and managed.
Facilitate working sessions and decision-making across technical and business stakeholders.
Identify and manage changes to scope, schedule, resources, and program priorities.
