Lead wildfire management efforts in British Columbia as a Crew Leader with the Coastal Fire Centre. This on-site role helps ensure community safety through active fire prevention and direct response efforts.
As a Wildfire Crew Leader, you'll guide teams on the fireline and engage in essential fieldwork. Your leadership will be vital for executing fire suppression strategies and mobilizing crews in incident response. We seek individuals with a robust commitment to safety and community resilience in this full-time position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and direct firefighting crews during active incidents
• Execute fire suppression and hazard plans effectively
• Engage in community preparedness and response activities
• Train team members on safety protocols and procedures
• Oversee equipment management and logistics during operations
Requirements:
• Grade 12 education or equivalent
• Minimum 2 seasons of wildfire experience
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license
• Intermediate First Aid ticket required
• Successfully pass annual fitness testing
