About the Role We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic Level 2, 3, and 4 Plumbing Apprentices to join our growing team.
In this role, you will work directly alongside licensed Red Seal Journeypersons on large-scale apartment and multi-family residential builds across Winnipeg.
This is the perfect opportunity to keep your hours consistent, learn from elite pros, refine your commercial-scale residential skills, and successfully stack hours toward earning your ticket.
Key Responsibilities System Installation & Rough-ins: Measure, cut, assemble, and install plumbing, drainage, venting, and water distribution systems within multi-unit residential structures.
Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret basic mechanical blueprints, architectural schematics, and building codes to execute layouts accurately under guidance.
Tool Proficiency & Craftsmanship: Safely and efficiently use hand tools, power tools, and relevant soldering or cutting equipment basic to your apprenticeship level.
Seamless Trade Collaboration: Coordinate hand-in-hand with our internal electrical division (Nitro Electric) and structural teams.
Because we are all part of the Rockport family, you will learn how to work seamlessly across trades.
Safety & Compliance: Work safely and productively while strictly adhering to provincial safety regulations and the Manitoba Plumbing Code.
Maintain a clean, organized work area.
Qualifications & Requirements Apprenticeship Status: Must be currently registered as a Level 2, 3, or 4 Plumbing Apprentice with Apprenticeship Manitoba.
Physical Capabilities: Must be physically fit, capable of handling heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and comfortable safely working at heights and on ladders .
Relevant Experience: Prior experience working on multi-family residential projects (apartments, condos) or large-scale commercial wood-frame/concrete builds is a major asset.
Tools & Gear: Must have your own hand tools basic to your apprenticeship level, as well as CSA-approved steel-toe boots.
Skills & Attitude: Strong work ethic, punctuality, a safety-first mindset, and a desire to learn and advance quickly.
Transit: A valid Manitoba driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle to travel to various job sites within Winnipeg.
