Job Description SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The CNC Machinist will perform and record manufacturing activities consistent with those required to meet company objectives.
Must be able to handle multiple concurrent tasks with fluctuating priorities.
Sets up and operates CNC Milling or Turning machines to manufacture precision components.
Capable of operating manual lathes and mills.
Familiar with operations like drilling, tapping, threading, turning, reaming, boring, facing and other machining operations performed on C.N.C. equipment.
Able to modify or edit existing programs. SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO : Set up, operate, and run CNC Mills and/or CNC Turning Centers.
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
Understand and apply GD&T;, tolerances, product features, and dimensional requirements.
Perform machine setups including tooling, offsets, and fixture alignment.
Notifies supervisor of shop and tooling requirements.
Operates C.N.C machines as assigned and may be required to operate more than one machine simultaneously.
Follows preventative maintenance procedures as outlined by machine manufacturers or supervisors.
Required to assist in machine repair when needed.
Keeps machine and work area safe, clean, lubricated and orderly.
Keeps accurate time reporting on all activities.
Remains aware and follows all health and safety practices.
Works in a secure fashion and reports any concerns to supervisor.
