Summary of responsibilities: The Performance Officer, reporting to the General Manager, Regional Performance, East, is responsible for observing, recording and reporting on Screening Contractor (SC) operational performance at the assigned airport, and various other designated airports, in accordance with all applicable policies, procedures and directives.
The Performance Officer performs all other duties and responsibilities related to the position as required.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities: - Monitors screening operations at Pre-board Screening (PBS), Hold Baggage Screening (HBS) and Non-Passenger Screening (NPS) checkpoints to ensure procedural compliance to CASTA’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Operational Bulletins and directives. - Executes covert testing plans at all CATSA operational checkpoints and provides recommendations to management. - Assists CATSA regional management, police and law enforcement in responding to incidents and conduct associated follow-up.
What you need to succeed To qualify for the position, you must have: Post-secondary education as related to the position. A minimum of two (2) years of experience conducting inspections or monitoring in a highly regulated environment where compliance to operating standards and procedures is critical. A minimum of one (1) year of experience writing reports and giving recommendations to management.

Knowledge of CATSA's mandate and priorities, as well as an awareness of relevant legislation impacting CATSA.
