Contracts/Procurement professional with hands-on experience supporting project-based sourcing and contracting from RFP through contract execution, changes and close-out. Contracts Advisor – Project Procurement & Supply Chain
Our client is seeking anexperienced Contracts/Procurement professional with hands-on experience supporting project-based sourcing and contracting from RFP through contract execution, changes and close-out.
Location: Calgary - this role is 5 days a week in office.
Contract: 6 months to start, possibility of extension
Must Have
5+ years of experience in a Contracts Advisor, Contracts Specialist, Contract Administrator or similar Contracts/Procurement roles within large enterprise organizations
Experience supporting project-based sourcing and contracting, including RFPs, contract execution, changes and close-out.
Experience administering contracts, Scopes of Work, amendments/change orders and related contract documentation.
Robust Microsoft Excel skills and experience with SAP or a similar ERP/procurement system
Nice to Have
Experience supporting capital or business unit projects.
Experience with high-value or complex contracts.
Exposure to sourcing strategies, commercial strategies or SCM execution plans.
Experience with contractor pre-qualification.
Experience in energy, oil & gas, construction, infrastructure or another project-based environment.
Post-secondary education in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement or a related discipline.
What You'll Do
Support project-specific procurement and contracting activities, including sourcing and commercial approaches.
Coordinate contracts through the full lifecycle, from RFP and pre-qualification through execution, changes and close-out.
Administer contracts, Scopes of Work,
sub-agreements and change orders, ensuring required approvals and documentation are in place.
Coordinate contract progress meetings, track actions and follow up on commitments.
Work closely with project teams, contractors, Procurement/SCM, Commercial, Legal, Finance and other stakeholders to keep contracting activities moving.
Support contract changes and commercial issues, bringing in the appropriate internal expertise when required.
Maintain contract tracking systems and documentation and ensure signing authorities and company processes are followed.
Support the project team in managing contract requirements, risks and issues through to completion.
