**Marine Construction Superintendent**
**About the Opportunity**
TRS Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Marine Construction Superintendent for a leading contractor specializing in complex marine and heavy civil infrastructure projects throughout British Columbia.
This position offers the opportunity to lead the field execution of major waterfront developments, including ports, terminals, wharves, jetties, and other marine structures.
The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong background in marine construction, heavy civil works, and site operations management.
**Key Responsibilities**
Provide overall site leadership for marine construction projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution.
Lead field operations for marine piling, dredging, foundation construction, and waterfront infrastructure projects.
Coordinate and supervise crews of 50+ personnel, subcontractors, and heavy equipment resources.
Manage construction activities including test piling, excavation, formwork, reinforcing steel installation, concrete placement, and anchor bolt installation.
Develop and implement site execution plans that support project schedules, budgets, and operational objectives.
Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement solutions to maintain productivity and schedule commitments.
Champion a strong safety culture by promoting safe work practices and ensuring compliance with company, client, and regulatory requirements.
Participate in project planning, progress reviews, and coordination meetings to drive project success.
Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors, and project teams.
Ensure environmental protection measures and regulatory requirements are effectively implemented throughout project execution.
**Qualifications**
Minimum 7 years of experience managing large-scale marine construction or heavy civil infrastructure projects.
Proven experience delivering marine, waterfront, port, terminal, wharf, jetty, bridge, or other complex civil construction projects.
Strong knowledge of marine piling, dredging operations, marine structures, and foundation construction methodologies.
Demonstrated ability to lead large field crews and subcontractors in demanding project environments.
Excellent planning, scheduling, and problem-solving skills.
Sound understanding of construction safety programs and environmental compliance requirements.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital project communication tools.
Valid driver's license.
**Preferred Qualifications**
Degree, diploma, or technical education in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
Experience working on major marine or transportation infrastructure projects.
Knowledge of regulatory and environmental requirements associated with marine construction activities.
**Compensation & Benefits**
Competitive salary: $140,000 - $170,000
