Drive innovation in thermochemical energy conversion as a Research Engineer at UBC in Vancouver. This full-time role focuses on instrumentation design and fuel combustion analysis.

At UBC's Mechanical Engineering Department, you'll develop and implement advanced measurement protocols for combustion and emissions evaluation of alternative fuels. Collaborating with team members and industry partners, you will create unique prototypes and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring operational excellence and data integrity.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design prototype equipment for cutting-edge engineering applications
• Implement measurement techniques for combustion and emissions
• Maintain software for instrument control and data analysis




• Support data collection campaigns and analysis
• Prepare archival research documents and presentations

Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree in Engineering or Applied Science
• One year of related experience or equivalent
• Knowledge of Matlab or Python/NumPy for analysis
• Fabrication and electronics skills preferred
