ABOUT THE JOB
The Opportunity:
The Program Compliance Branch is seeking to hire an Enforcement Officer who will report to the Senior Enforcement Officer.
Responsibilities
- Review technical applications, inspections, compliance audits, and enforcement activities within an assigned area.
- Collect and compile information to assist colleagues in identifying, investigating, and recommending actions to resolve industry-related incidents or inquiries.
- Perform field inspections to assess compliance with the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) and the Immigration Services Act, regulations, and ministry standards.
- Apply relevant legislation, regulations, and ministry policies to local conditions and compliance activities.
- Contribute to serious and complex investigations involving provincial and federal legislation (FWRISA, FOPI, IRPA, ISA, Criminal Code).
- Conduct data entry and manage data systems to ensure accurate and timely information.
- Maintain records and analyze compliance-related data to support decision-making.
- Interact with stakeholders to assess compliance issues and implement appropriate solutions.
- Provide administrative support to colleagues and the team as required.
- Gather, collect, and organize evidence for the laying of charges and preparation of disclosure under appropriate legislation.
Qualifications
Job Capabilities:
As a public servant, we are seeking someone who:
- Has extensive knowledge in law enforcement with a history of handling complex investigations.
- Has extensive knowledge and experience of drafting and executing Search Warrants and Production Oaths.
- Has experience with managing complex disclosure processes.
- Is able to participate as part of a team to achieve organizational and investigational goals.
- Has knowledge of Major Case Management (MCM), investigative interviewing and/or immigration legislation such as the Immigration, Refugee, and Protection Act (IRPA) is considered an asset.
- Has experience in commercial crime, accounting, counterfeit document detection, identify theft and human trafficking issues, writing judicial authorizations is considered an asset.
- Has experience handling and processing exhibits while maintai**ng the chain of custody.
- A valid driver's license as travel to various business sites across Saskatchewan.

Technical Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of Law enforcement agencies roles and responsibilities with a history conducting and handling complex investigations.
- Knowledge of evidence gathering rules and statement taking.
- Managing complex disclosure processes.
- Managing appeals, escalated complaints, and judicial reviews.
- Interpreting and administering Federal or Provincial laws.
- Immigration legislation is an asset.
