Role Overview
This position provides hands-on experience across multiple areas of a growing business. The successful candidate will work closely with the Controller and Administrative Team while gaining exposure to accounting processes, customer service, sales support, inventory coordination, and general business administration. This is a newly created position and represents a new vacancy within the organization.
What You'll Do
- Assist with processing customer invoices and payments.
- Support accounts payable activities, including invoice entry.
- Assist with accounts receivable follow-up and customer account maintenance.
- Reconcile financial records and supporting documentation.
- Help prepare reports and spreadsheets for management review.
- Organize and maintain electronic files.
- Participate in projects involving process improvements.
- Serve as a professional first point of contact for customers by phone and email.
- Respond to customer inquiries and direct requests appropriately.
- Assist customers with order status updates, documentation requests, and service inquiries.
- Support customer follow-up activities and relationship management.
- Maintain accurate customer records and correspondence.
- Work collaboratively with sales, service, and accounting departments to ensure excellent customer service.
- Prepare business correspondence.
- Maintain electronic filing systems and business records.
- Assist with inventory tracking and purchasing administration.
- Support scheduling and coordination of service activities.
- Assist with special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Solid organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Customer-focused with a professional attitude.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Previous customer service or office experience is an asset.
- Experience working with spreadsheets and business software.
- Interest in accounting, business operations, and customer service.
