Our client, a national retailer with a significant distribution network, is seeking a dedicated Delivery Fleet Supervisor to manage their fleet operations in the Kimberley area. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the delivery fleet, supervising drivers, and maintaining vehicles to the highest standards. You will play a critical part in guaranteeing timely deliveries to customers and retail outlets throughout the Northern Cape . Key Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of delivery drivers, ensuring adherence to schedules and company policies.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair schedule for the fleet to minimize downtime.
- Conduct regular driver performance reviews and provide coaching and training as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all road safety regulations and company safety protocols.
- Monitor delivery performance, analyze routes,
and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Manage fuel consumption and vehicle expenses to control operational costs.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in fleet supervision or a similar logistics/transport role.
- Proven ability to manage and motivate a team of drivers.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair, as well as fleet management software.
- Understanding of South African road safety regulations and transport laws.
- Robust organizational and problem-solving skills.
- A valid Code 10 driver's license is required.
