About the role:
The Hospital strives to deliver care that is centred on patientsand families. Patient and Family Centred Care (PFCC)
is the provision of care that is respectful of, and responsive toindividual patient/family preferences, needs, and values
and ensures that those values guide all decisions.
Creating acaring environment for patients and families ensures
continuity of care and fosters a learning environment. Applicantsare required to have a demonstrated knowledge,
understanding and commitment to this care philosophy.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from a recognized secretarial course
- Completed course in medical terminology
- Must have valuable interpersonal, organizational, communication andtelephone skills
- Must be able to enter 55 w.p.m. accurately on a computerkeyboard
- Must be able to work well under pressure and with a minimum ofsupervision
- Must be able to handle multi line telephones (take overswitchboard duties on the night shift)
- Must be knowledgeable of the various health care serviceswithin the community
- Preference will be given to candidates with Emergency or Admittingexperience
- Knowledge of Meditech ADM and EDM programs is required
Salary Range: $28.208 to 28.879

Candidates will have demonstrated adherence to the Hospital's Code of Conduct. Regular attendance atwork is imperative, therefore, all applicants will have to demonstrate a good attendance record to be considered forthis position.
