About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Bio-Process Engineer to join their dynamic Biologics Manufacturing team in Kimberley. This role is essential for the development, optimization, and scale-up of bioprocessing operations for therapeutic proteins and other biological products. You will be instrumental in ensuring efficient, robust, and compliant manufacturing processes, contributing directly to the production of life-saving therapies. This position offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to apply your engineering expertise in a growing and innovative pharmaceutical manufacturing setting, working collaboratively with production, quality, and R&D; teams.Key Responsibilities
Develop, optimize, and scale-up upstream and downstream bioprocessing operations for therapeutic proteins, vaccines, and other biologics.Design and execute experiments to improve process yield, product quality, and cost-effectiveness.Troubleshoot and resolve process deviations, ensuring adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).Author and review process development reports, batch records, and validation protocols.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing operations, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs,



to ensure successful process transfer and implementation.Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in bioprocessing and biotechnology manufacturing.Requirements
Master's or Ph.D. degree in Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field.Minimum of 6 years of experience in bioprocess development and/or manufacturing within the biopharmaceutical industry.Strong understanding of upstream (cell culture, fermentation) and downstream (chromatography, filtration) processing technologies.Experience with process scale-up, technology transfer, and process validation is essential.Proficiency in relevant software tools for process modeling and data analysis.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills, required for working in a hybrid capacity in Kimberley.Benefits
