ScopeHR is hiring an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for a busy food production plant in Toronto's west end. You'll be the go-to person who keeps the lines running in a 24/7 operation.
What you'll be doing
- Keep mixers, ovens, conveyors, pumps, kettles and packaging machines running through planned, predictive and breakdown maintenance
- Track down mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults and get equipment back online fast
- Handle emergency repairs safely, with every temporary fix meeting food safety standards
- Look after plant utilities, including boilers, refrigeration, compressed air and water systems
- Support changeovers, calibrations, and the install and start-up of new equipment
- Work side by side with production leads and operators to fix recurring problems and improve uptime
- Log all work and follow lockout/tagout, WHMIS, GMP, HACCP and SQF requirements
What you bring
- 5+ years working as a mechanic, including at least 2 to 3 years in industrial maintenance
- Food manufacturing experience is a big plus
- Solid troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Comfortable reading blueprints, schematics and equipment manuals
- Industrial mechanic (433A)
millwright or electromechanical trade training is preferred
- PLC, sensor, motor and conveyor experience is an asset
- Clear communication in English, spoken and written
- Available for rotating shifts, weekends and overtime when needed
