Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort
- Support medication administration following established protocols to ensure safety and accuracy
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences, fostering health and enjoyment
- Engage residents in social activities and companionship to enhance emotional well-being
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, sanitation, and organization of living spaces
- Monitor residents’ health status, report changes promptly, and collaborate with healthcare professionals as needed
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments, employing patience and understanding
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities or nursing homes is highly preferred
- Demonstrated experience in senior care or caregiving roles that involve supporting elderly or disabled individuals
- Familiarity with dementia care strategies to support residents with memory challenges
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities to promote accessibility and independence
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and safety procedures in a healthcare setting
- Ability to perform light cleaning tasks and meal preparation efficiently and hygienically
- Solid communication skills combined with a compassionate approach to caregiving
