Salary: $19.00 per hour
Note: Gross wages are subject to applicable federal and provincial taxes and statutory deductions.
Other Benefits: Travel expenses and relocation costs will be covered by the employer
Vacation: 2 weeks paid vacation per year
Hours of Work: 30-40 hours per week; Overtime pay at 1.5 times the regular rate applies after 44 hours per week

Job Responsibilities:

- Provide attentive and nurturing in-home care for a newborn baby at the employer’s private residence.
- Supervise the baby closely and maintain a safe environment at all times.
- Prepare and feed bottles of expressed breast milk or formula according to the parents’ instructions, and clean and sterilize bottles and feeding equipment.
- Burp the baby after feeding and monitor feeding patterns.
- Change diapers, bathe and dress the baby, and maintain the baby’s personal hygiene.
- Follow the parents’ instructions for feeding, naps, and daily routines, using safe infant sleep practices.




- Soothe and comfort the baby through gentle holding, rocking, and other appropriate methods.
- Provide age-appropriate interaction, including talking, singing, and supervised tummy time when appropriate, to support early development.
- Maintain clean and organized areas used by the baby, including washing baby clothes and linens and tidying nursery supplies.
- Accompany the baby to appointments or on outings as requested by the parents.
- Keep records of feeding, diaper changes, and sleep, and report any concerns or changes in the baby’s health, behaviour, or development to the parents promptly.
- Follow the parents’ care preferences and maintain a patient, caring, and nurturing environment.

Employment Requirements:

- Completion of secondary school is required.
- 3-6 months of experience caring as a child caregiver is required.
- Ability to obtain First Aid and CPR certification, including infant CPR.
- Formal training in childcare or a related field is considered an asset.

Pay: $19.00 per hour
