Job: Maintenance Technician

Pay: $25.00 - $33.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Rotating Day & Night Shifts
Hours: 42 hours per week

Job Overview

We are hiring Maintenance Technicians for a manufacturing facility in Aurora, ON. This is a hands-on maintenance role suited for candidates with mechanical, electrical, industrial maintenance, or technical training.

You will support the maintenance team with preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, lubrication, production line changeovers, and general equipment servicing.

Responsibilities

- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment
- Inspect, clean, lubricate, and service machinery
- Troubleshoot basic mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical issues
- Assist with equipment repairs and production line changeovers
- Support production equipment setup and minimize downtime
- Work with hand tools and power tools
- Assist with maintenance of plant utility systems
- Maintain spare parts inventory and organized storage
- Complete maintenance and inspection records
- Maintain a clean and safe maintenance work area
- Follow all Health & Safety, Food Safety, GMP, Quality, and Environmental requirements
- Perform other maintenance duties as required

Qualifications

- Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance,



or related technical education
- Previous maintenance or manufacturing experience is preferred
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Basic understanding of utility systems such as boilers, compressed air, nitrogen etc.
- Good knowledge of hand and power tools
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and identify basic mechanical issues
- Robust communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Millwright apprenticeship or technical training is an asset
- Tetra Pak experience is an asset but not required
- English communication skills preferred

Shift Requirements

Rotating day and night shifts are mandatory.

- 42 hours per week
- 3 x 12-hour shifts + 1 x 6-hour shift
- Monday to Thursday
- 30-minute unpaid lunch break
- Must be flexible and available for both day and night shifts

Compensation & Chance

- $25.00 - $33.00 per hour, based on experience
- Bi-weekly pay
- High possibility of permanent employment after 3 months, based on performance and business requirements
- Hands-on experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment
