About the Role As an RECE Before and After School Educator,



your primary responsibility is to be present for children and their families while developing and implementing programs that meet their developmental needs and interests. You will create meaningful play experiences, provide healthy snacks, supervise outdoor and indoor activities, and ensure the safety and well-being of children in your care. Duties vary by centre, but your role always includes supporting children, assisting colleagues, and contributing to a welcoming and well-organized workplace.

Qualifications

- Early Childhood Education Diploma (ECE) and member in good standing with the College of ECEs
- Related experience in a childcare setting
- Demonstrated knowledge and working ability to effectively interact with children requiring behavioural guidance
- Demonstrated knowledge of How Does Learning Happen?
- Experience in program planning and implementation for JK/SK and school-aged children
- Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Flexibility to adapt to a variety of responsibilities and schedules
- Passion for supporting children, families, and colleagues in a positive, team-focused environment
