Role and Mission
We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and hospitality-minded
Reservations Agent
. Reporting to the
Director of Sales & Marketing
,
the successful candidate will play a key role in managing reservations and will work closely with the
Revenue Manager
to ensure optimal management of room inventory and rates. The position also provides administrative support to the
Sales, Front Office, and Revenue Management teams
, while contributing to operational efficiency and exceptional guest experience.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities, and attentive to detail.
They enjoy working with data, hotel systems, and different departments to contribute to revenue optimization and the overall guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
Process individual and group reservations.
Manage group rooming lists and ensure all required information is properly followed up on.
Manage room inventory and rates across various distribution channels, including OTAs, GDS, and direct booking platforms.
Oversee the reservation process to ensure the accuracy of rates, availability, and applicable conditions.
Handle special requests, reservation modifications, and adjustments.
Generate and distribute daily and weekly revenue and reservation reports.
Monitor the performance of various distribution channels and identify trends or discrepancies.
Adjust rates and inventory according to established strategies.
Ensure the accuracy and timely updating of information in reservation and revenue management systems.
Maintain and optimize reservation and revenue-related systems and tools in collaboration with the appropriate teams.
Work closely with the Front Office, Sales, and Revenue Management teams to ensure effective communication and information flow.
Provide administrative support to the Sales, Front Office, and Revenue Management teams.
Collaborate with various hotel departments to ensure a consistent and high-quality guest experience.
Communicate effectively with guests, partners, and various hotel stakeholders.
Participate in meetings and training sessions required for the proper operation of the hotel.
Profile Sought
Education and Experience
College diploma in
Hospitality Management, Tourism
,
or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
One year of relevant experience in a hotel environment.
Experience in reservations, front desk operations, or a call center is an asset.
Previous experience in a Marriott hotel is an asset.
Experience with hotel systems and reservation platforms is an asset.
Skills and Qualifications
Have
an
analytical
mind
oriented
towards
numbers
and
data
analysis
.
Excellent organizational and priority management skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling data.
Comfortable working with numbers, reports, and data analysis.
Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of
Fosse, Delphi, or other hotel systems
is an asset.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple requests simultaneously.
Self-motivated, resourceful, and proactive.
Dynamic, flexible, and team-oriented.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
French-English bilingualism, spoken and written required
