TAPS is hiring a full time Tenant Legal Advocate in Victoria to assist low-income tenants with legal issues. This permanent role provides impactful advocacy and educational outreach.

In this position at Together Against Poverty Society, you will play a vital role in supporting tenants engaged in disputes under the Residential Tenancy Act. The advocate will provide legal information, representation during hearings, and contribute to public education on rental rights. You will also participate in drafting policy documents and assist with fundraising initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver legal information to clients in need
• Represent tenants at legal hearings effectively
• Conduct public legal education sessions
• Draft newsletter articles and press releases
• Participate in general office support tasks

Requirements:
• Relevant experience in tenancy issues
• Positive, non-judgmental client approach
• Knowledge of confidentiality practices
• Ability to work collaboratively
• Commitment to raising awareness and advocacy
