Carleton University’s Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering is seeking an Assistant or Associate Professor specializing in Aerospace Engineering. Candidates should either possess a Ph.D. or be nearing completion, with a focus on areas such as aeronautical design or avionics. The position involves mentoring students at both graduate and undergraduate levels while engaging in impactful research aimed at promoting equity and diversity in engineering.
Key Responsibilities: • Lead interdisciplinary,
multi-institutional research projects • Supervise and train undergraduate and graduate students • Develop a high-quality, externally funded research program • Contribute to the academic life of the Department • Encourage underrepresented groups in engineering
Requirements: • Ph.D. in engineering or related field • Proven track record of innovative research • Experience in teaching and potential for teaching excellence • Ability to collaborate with faculty members • Qualified engineer license eligibility in Ontario
