Position Overview Reporting to the Structures Manager, the Structures Technician is responsible for fabricating, repairing, modifying, and restoring aircraft structural components across a diverse fleet of helicopters. Working as part of a highly skilled team, this role ensures structural work is completed in accordance with approved technical data, engineering specifications, regulatory requirements, and Alpine Aerotech's quality standards.
How You'll Make an Impact
Design, lay out, and perform structural repairs in accordance with Structural Repair Manuals (SRMs), Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Technical Bulletins (TBs), engineering drawings, and approved technical data
Fabricate, assemble, and fit structural components to precise specifications while maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality
Perform sheet metal repairs, structural modifications, and component fabrication across a variety of helicopter platforms
Apply corrosion control, metal treatment, and preservation processes to support aircraft reliability and longevity
Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, engineering specifications, and Alpine Aerotech's quality standards
Maintain accurate documentation and records related to structural repairs, fabrication activities, and maintenance tasks
Follow all regulatory requirements, company procedures, safe work practices, and personal protective equipment (PPE) standards
Collaborate with fellow technicians, inspectors, engineers, and leadership to achieve production goals while maintaining high standards for quality and safety
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and operational performance
Continuously develop technical knowledge and stay current with evolving repair methods, materials, and industry best practices
Fulfill additional duties as required

What You'll Bring to Our Team
Graduation from a Transport Canada-accredited Aviation Structures program
AME-S Licence or a strong desire to pursue certification
Experience performing structural repairs, sheet metal fabrication, aircraft modifications, or related aviation structures work is considered an asset
Strong understanding of aircraft structures, fabrication techniques, corrosion control processes, and structural repair methodologies
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, repair instructions, and approved technical data
Valid Driver's Licence
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Robust organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities
Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment
Professionalism, accountability, and sound judgment
