Job Description

- The clientis looking for a senior Guidewire Tech Lead who can act as a full technicalreference on the platform, combining Gosu and Java development, applicationarchitecture, and team mentoring, in the context of modernizing a property& casualty insurance program from an acquisition done in 2024.
- Therecurring keywords (technical leadership, technical reference, applicationarchitecture, mentoring) point to a hybrid profile between a senior developerand an architect, rather than a pure delivery manager.
- The statusof the mandate reopening and openness to candidates outside Quebec suggests ascarcity of Guidewire ACE profiles that combine the desired technical seniorityand leadership experience.
- The profile should not be confused with a senior Guidewire developerwithout management scope,



nor with a pure application architect without recentand active Gosu/Java development practice.

Requirements

Required:

- Minimum 8 years of relevant software development experience
- Minimum 6 years of experience on the Guidewire platform
- Minimum 3 years of experience in technical leadership, leaddeveloper, or application architect roles
- Proficiency in Guidewire, Gosu, and Java
- Expertise in REST/SOAP services, XML, and JSON
- Knowledge of French
- Advanced English proficiency
- University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering,or a related discipline

Preferred:

- Proficiency in application architectures, integration, andcloud environments
- Knowledge of Agile, DevOps, CI/CD practices, and source codemanagement tools
- ClaimCenter development experience dedicated to commerciallines

Asset:

- Experience mentoring or coaching junior developers
- Experience with pricing model management
- Experience in ongoing communication with Guidewire technicaladvisors (vendor liaison)
- Knowledge of the Property & Casualty (P&C;) insurancedomain
