This leadership role is crucial to VHA’s mission, guiding the implementation and continuous enhancement of client safety frameworks. Collaborate closely with operational leaders to align safety priorities with strategic objectives, regulatory demands, and Accreditation Canada standards. Your expertise in patient safety will help mitigate risks and foster an atmosphere of accountability and learning across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead development and enhancement of client safety programs
• Monitor safety trends and identify risk management strategies




• Chair VHA’s Client Safety Committee for governance
• Oversee incident management including reporting and review
• Develop and deliver safety education and training programs

Requirements:
• Master's degree in a health-related field
• 5+ years in healthcare patient safety
• Certified in patient safety (e.g., CPPS)
• Robust knowledge of safety culture and systems thinking
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
