Become a vital part of Optima Living’s senior care team as a Health Care Aide, responsible for enhancing the quality of life for residents. This position supports daily living activities and promotes dignity and independence.

As a Health Care Aide at Optima Living, you will report directly to the Director of Care and work with Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses. Your role involves assisting residents physically, emotionally, and socially through various tasks such as personal care, medication management, and recreational activities. You will ensure comfort and dignity for residents, particularly during palliative and end-of-life care.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide support to meet residents' physical and emotional needs
• Assist with personal care plans and service plans




• Document observations and report changes to nursing staff
• Administer and manage residents' medications accurately
• Support and maintain a protected and clean living environment

Requirements:
• Completion of a certified Health Care Aide program
• Current registration with the CLHA of Alberta
• Experience in residential care or mental health environments
• Valid CPR and First Aid certification
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
