Global consulting firm seeking Cost Manager / Commercial Manager to join their project teams in Vancouver, BC and Montreal, ON. Remote working is available to suitable candidates. Salary $140,000-$200,000. Outpost Recruitment is excited to work with our client on this full-time permanent role.

In this role you will:

Activelyparticipatein the tender/bid process--frominitialtender/bid documentation through analysis and reporting

Manage the change managementprocess -identifying, analyzing, approving, and implementing changes that affect the project cost

Analysetenders/bids to ensure client value for money

Assistin the preparation and agreement of final accounts, including the handling of any claims to ensure the client gets best value from works undertaken





Create estimates and cost plans for key client developments

Oversee project spend by creating valuations and cost reports, and clearly communicate variations to your team

Support nimble project management and clear decisions through excellent cost documentation andtimelycommunication

Support the settlement of construction disputes/loss and expense claims with transparency

Foster top performance and growth for your employees via excellent mentorship and leadership

We would love to hear from you if you:

Have experience as aseniorcost manager, ideally from a consultancy background

Have experience in pre-contract cost managementwhilebeingexperienced in budget control, cost planning,preparingandinitiatingchange forms for discussion with other project stakeholderswhilebeingknowledgeableonalternative construction materials

Are chartered or are on the path tocompleteit. We can help

Have a degree or comparable experience in a project management or construction discipline

Are an excellent communicator verbally and inwriting
