Data Management Intern (Winter 2027)
Dawson Partners (“Dawson”), based in Toronto, is a fast-growing private equity firm focused on accelerating liquidity on private equity portfolios through structured solutions. Dawson seeks to provide customized and flexible liquidity solutions for private equity investors through the use of structured solutions with existing investors or outright purchases of portfolios which are subsequently structured into different securities. Dawson currently has over $30.0B assets under management.

The Data Management team is seeking a Data Management Intern starting in January 2027 at our Toronto office. The intern will have the opportunity to work alongside seasoned professionals in a high-performing entrepreneurial setting, helping with the daily operations of the management company.

We are looking for energetic, dynamic individuals who thrive in quick-paced and high-performance environments. Ideal candidates will be completing a bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration and have a demonstrated track record of curricular and extracurricular excellence.

Job Responsibilities

Support in-house review and data extraction process for financial statements and quarterly reports.

Perform daily data-quality checks and reconciliations across investment, reference and operational data.

Investigate and document data discrepancies and escalated issues requiring further review.

Prepare exception reports and support the monitoring of data-quality metrics.

Assist with the preparation and validation of reports, dashboards and analytical outputs.

Support recurring and ad hoc data requests from business stakeholders.

Participate in the testing and validation of system changes, dashboards and data processes.





Document testing results identified issues and required follow-up actions.

Support data-related activities associated with new initiatives, and system enhancements.

Assist with preparing datasets and validating outputs used by and created by in-house AI tool.

Education/Certification

Exceptional academic record.

Extracurricular leadership.

Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Data Analytics or a related discipline.

What You Bring

Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint skills.

Familiarity with SQL, Python, and Tableau is considered an asset.

Interest in financial services, private equity, asset management or data management.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

High level of attention to detail.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to communicate findings clearly and work collaboratively with different teams.
