Become a vital part of the Child Development Centre in Fort St. John, BC, as a full-time Speech Language Pathologist. Deliver individualized and group interventions for children with developmental delays while working in a supportive setting.
This role involves assessing client needs and implementing tailored therapy programs. You will coordinate referrals, supervise staff, and document client care extensively. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team ensures a holistic approach to service delivery, focusing on family-centered care and effective communication throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and develop intervention programs for clients
• Supervise up to 2 FTE non-paramedical staff
• Document all client care activities as per guidelines
• Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and family conferences
• Deliver consultative and direct therapy with occupational therapists
Requirements:
• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology
• Registered with the College of Speech-and Hearing Health Professionals
• Clinical experience with children and families
• Valid B.C. driver’s license and personal vehicle
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
