Lorac Construction Ltd. is currently seeking reliable Journeyman/woman Carpenters to join our team. Our sites are located throughout Edmonton and the immediate surrounding area.
No walk-ins please, only successful candidates will be contacted.
Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter certificate or equivalent is required.
Must have a minimum three (3) years of experience in commercial construction.
Must be able to provide a security clearance and complete pre-work fitness to work and Pre-Access A&D; screening.
Fluent spoken and written English.
Must own small hand tools.
Must have own transportation with a valid driver’s license.
To be successful in this position, the candidate would possess the following:
Ability to use general construction tools and equipment.
Ability to read and understand blueprints.
Ability to work well with a team of co-workers and subcontractors.
Ability to promote a positive work environment.




Actively participate in ensuring safety procedures appropriate to the work are in place and being followed by co-workers and subcontractors on-site.
Actively participate in safety reporting, daily site records and other documentation.
Actively participate in maintaining a tidy and safe work environment for all personnel and the public.
Ability to organize, direct and control in office construction.
Have current 1 st Aid training, and relevant safety certificates.
Experience with all or some of the following would be considered an asset:
Concrete and forming experience.
Wood framing experience.
Door and hardware experience.
