Support trauma victims in Maple Ridge as an auxiliary Victim Services Caseworker. Provide essential crisis intervention, emotional support, and resource referrals during critical situations.

The City of Maple Ridge is looking for auxiliary Victim Services Caseworkers to assist crime and trauma victims during emergencies. Your role will involve crisis intervention support, coordinating referrals, and following up with clients in both police and court processes. You will be essential in documenting client services, supporting volunteers, and liaising with agencies for comprehensive assistance.

Key Responsibilities:
• Respond to police crisis call-outs and responsible incidents
• Provide emotional support and referrals to victims




• Assist clients with immediate needs like transportation
• Maintain accurate and confidential client files
• Represent the program and train volunteers

Requirements:
• High school diploma with social science courses
• Experience in victim services or police environments
• RCMP Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance
• Class 5 Driver's License in BC
• Knowledge of court and police procedures

Engage with victims, provide crucial support, and make a difference in the community as a vital member of the Maple Ridge team.
