Join the Orthopaedic Department at East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook, BC as a full-time Orthopaedic Surgeon. This role offers a dynamic practice with a focus on community orthopaedics.
East Kootenay Regional Hospital is seeking a passionate Orthopaedic Surgeon to work alongside five experienced surgeons in a cooperative environment. You'll engage in general orthopaedics, hip and knee arthroplasty, and sports surgery. As a community-centric practice, the department prioritizes strong fits for their team, welcoming those with relevant fellowship training or extensive experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide general orthopaedic care in a community setting
• Participate in elective surgeries averaging one day per week
• Offer coverage for hip/knee arthroplasty and sports injuries
• Participate in shared on-call duties; average 1:5
• Manage a hospital-based cast clinic once weekly
Requirements:
• FRCSC certification or equivalent in orthopaedics
• Eligibility for licensure in British Columbia
• Interest in community-focused orthopaedic practices
• Prior fellowship training is a definite asset
• Willingness for locum work prior to permanent hiring
