McKay Métis Contracting is seeking an experienced Journeyperson Electrician.
The Role: The successful candidate will bring strong technical skills in diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems while providing ongoing support to the BET team.
Accountabilities: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure reliability and safety.
Collaborate with the Bird Environmental Technician (BET) team to support operations and resolve electrical issues.
Work with specialized systems, including Scully equipment, ensuring protected and compliant operation.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
Document maintenance activities and recommend system improvements.
Ensure all work complies with electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies.
Requirementsand Competencies: Red Seal Endorsement is an asset or currently working towards completion.
Mechanicallyinclinedregardingsmalldieselengines
Proven experience diagnosing and troubleshooting complex electrical issues
ProficiencyinEnglish,bothverballyandwritten
Pre-employmenttestingwillberequired.
CSTS’20, BSO,CSOor equivalent




Mustbeabletoliftup-to50pounds,andphysicallyabletoperformallduties
Must be flexibleand workeffectively ina fast-pacedenvironment
Mustbedependableandreliable
Schedule: The shift for this position is 10 days, followed by 5 days off rotationworking 12-hour days.
