Department: Ambulatory Clinics QUALIFICATIONS Certification/Experience/Knowledge Graduate of a Community College in the Medical Office Administration Program or equivalent required
Experience in Bed Allocation / Patient Registration / Data Integrity is required
Keyboarding skills (60 wpm/95% accuracy) and Data Entry Skills (6200 kph/95% accuracy) required
Medical Terminology Certificate required
Excellent demonstrated organizational, communication (verbal/written) and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with all members of the health team required
Skills/Abilities Ability to work with minimal supervision required
Ability to work in a fast paced high stress environment with the ability to perform multiple tasks over a short period of time
Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with a variety of external stakeholders to ensure patient focussed care delivery and patient flow
Experience with data integrity, data entry, census reporting required
Knowledge of infection control principles required
Experience with quality and process improvement required
Must be available for scheduled shifts and call-ins
Knowledge of computer applications; Meditech, Word, Excel, Critical and MOHLTC census tool
Positive attendance and work record required




Must support and contribute to a culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events in this organization
Bilingualism (Advanced level English/French) is required. All unilingual candidates are encouraged to apply and may be considered if the identified French requirement has been met or there are no successful bilingual candidates. A formal French test will be conducted to evaluate the proficiency level.
