In this permanent role with a hybrid work setup, you will be integral to the mechanical design process, ensuring effective implementation and testing of system components. With 5+ years of experience, you will oversee project timelines, costs, and risks while developing designs for robotic arms and material handling systems. Expect to work on-site in Kitchener-Waterloo and travel occasionally to our Simcoe orchard for in-field testing.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design and prototype robotic systems including end-effectors
• Manage project scope, timelines, and cost estimates




• Collaborate on component integration with the technical team
• Prepare necessary design documentation and BOMs
• Assist with testing and assembly in lab and field conditions

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering
• 5+ years of mechanical design experience
• Proficient in CAD for part modeling and analysis
• Hands-on prototype assembly and testing experience
• Strong relationship management with contractors
