As a temporary full time member of the First Peoples’ Centre, you will support applied research and development initiatives with Indigenous communities. Your responsibilities include coordinating project logistics, assisting with funding applications, and ensuring ethical research practices. This role leverages your lived experience and expertise in Indigenous methodologies to foster community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate Indigenous research and development projects
• Assist with funding proposal development and grant applications
• Track project timelines and milestones effectively
• Manage communication with community partners and stakeholders
• Support training and ethical research practices for student researchers
Requirements:
• Degree in Indigenous Studies or related field
• Minimum one year experience in research coordination
• Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools
• Lived experience as First Nations, Métis, or Inuit
• Strong time management and analytical skills
