Department: Police and Public Safety Institute Position Type: Part-Time Support Salary Range: $40.62-$47.06-Hourly Scheduled Weekly Hours: 18 Anticipated Start Date: October 12, 2026 Length of Contract: n/a Posting Information Employees who are part-time internal candidates, as defined by the Part-Time Support Collective Agreement, will be given first consideration. Job Description: Provides oversight for all laboratory supplies and equipment
Maintains laboratory schedules
Sets up and tears down laboratory sessions
Orients professors in usage of laboratory equipment.
Collaborates with professors in simulation-based learning activities
Supports technical instruction to students
Maintains equipment inventory
Required Qualifications: Minimum two (2) year Primary Care Paramedic diploma; a diploma in a related healthcare field, such as nursing, may be considered; CPR, WHMIS, and First Aid must be current throughout tenure; Must be familiar with Ministry of Health Provincial Equipment standards for Ontario Ambulance service; Minimum five (5) years experience as a PCP in an acute care facility , which preferably includes oversight of equipment maintenance and repairs, software applications in a laboratory setting and inventory monitoring and simulation based learning A combination of minimum five (5)



years experience in a healthcare field and demonstrated knowledge of paramedicine and paramedic equipment may be considered
Anticipated Weekly Schedule: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 5 hours per day with additional 3 hours remote.
Hours are flexible as per program needs and will be discussed during interview phase.
