This new role in the Library and Archives division is centered on advancing the creation and utilization of open educational resources at the University of Ottawa. You will engage with faculty and instructors, fostering the use of fair dealing, open licensing, and copyright education. The position also emphasizes outreach activities for promoting affordable learning resources.
Key Responsibilities:
• Advance affordable learning and OER initiatives
• Develop outreach strategies to enhance OER usage
• Provide guidance on copyright and open licensing
• Support faculty and students in resource development
• Collaborate on library services and assessments
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Library and Information Sciences
• Experience with affordable course materials and OER
• Robust knowledge of Canadian copyright laws
• Leadership and communication skills in English and French
• Project management and service orientation skills
