Become an Indigenous Domestic Violence Prevention Liaison Worker with FRAFCA in Surrey BC. Support Indigenous women, children, and families through trauma-informed and culturally safe approaches.
This full-time role requires collaboration with MCFD and community agencies, focusing on direct support, advocacy, and case management for those affected by domestic violence. You'll employ culturally grounded practices to ensure families feel safe and empowered in making informed decisions. Your efforts will play a vital role in strengthening community connections and promoting family safety.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and complete safety plans for clients
• Manage cases with thorough documentation
• Facilitate referrals to FRAFCA and local resources
• Accompany social workers during domestic violence calls
• Support delivery of the Red-Path Living without Violence program
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in human services preferred
• Minimum 1 year experience with domestic violence
• First Aid and CPR certification required
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with vehicle
• Explicit criminal records check upon hire
Support Indigenous families through effective crisis resolution, advocacy, and case management practices.
