Your Opportunity BDO Canada is looking for a Manager to join the National Tax team! This is a net new position and the successful candidate will own the following responsibilities while working from any of our offices in Canada:
Assist with preparation and review of personal, corporate, trust and other tax filings
Support tax planning engagements, including research, analysis, and implementation of planning recommendations
Coordinate with clients, advisors and tax authorities to resolve compliance and tax matters
Perform technical tax research on various topics as required by the BDO income tax practice, including analysis of draft and enacted legislation for implications to our clients and BDO
Prepare and communicate thought leadership on income tax developments to internal and external audiences, including written articles, memoranda, as well as live and recorded presentations
Develop digital learning material on various income tax topics for firm personnel
Prepare income tax tools and resources for the BDO income tax practice

Your experience and education CPA Designation Completion of CPA Canada’s In-Depth Tax Course (or at least in year 3) or a Masters in Tax focusing on Canadian income tax Interested in learning more about Canadian income tax through tax research and applying those skills in writing articles, preparing resource materials and teaching others Experience working in a tax practice at a CPA firm or law firm, serving a variety of clients Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills including attention to detail Excellent written communication skills Bilingual (English/French) would be a definite asset Ability to work independently, but also able to collaborate to work as part of a team
The expected salary range for this position is $82,000 - $132,000 annually
