As a federal returning officer, you will be the local leader who makes sure federal elections run smoothly and fairly in your electoral district.
A returning officer must be qualified as an elector (i.e., be a Canadian citizen and at least 18years old) and must reside in or adjacent to the electoral district for which they have been appointed under the Canada Elections Act .
