Support students as a Teaching Assistant for the GEO1701 course, 'Terre: les catastrophes naturelles', at the University of Ottawa during the Winter 2027 semester. This in-person position involves grading, student interaction, and training.
The University of Ottawa is seeking two Teaching Assistants for the Fall 2027 session at the Main Campus. Candidates should hold a B.Sc. in Earth Sciences or Environmental Sciences and have knowledge of geodynamic processes. Responsibilities include grading quizzes and exams while actively engaging with approximately 100 students.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with grading approximately 90% of student assessments
• Provide 20 hours of direct student contact
• Conduct training sessions for course participants
• Supervise exams and quizzes as needed
• Attend all course hours and lectures
Requirements:
• B.Sc. in Earth Sciences or Environmental Sciences
• Completion of GEO1701 or equivalent knowledge
• Excellent understanding of geodynamic processes
• Availability for in-person instruction
• Experience in teaching or tutoring preferred
