Be part of the teaching team for the Introduction to Circuits Theory Electronics course at the University of Ottawa in the 2027 Winter Semester. This role involves supporting students and grading in a energetic learning environment.
The University of Ottawa is seeking five Teaching Assistants/Demonstrators for the PHY2104 course at its Main Campus. As a TA, your primary responsibilities will include student interactions, grading, and lab preparation, amounting to a total of 130 work hours. You'll directly assist students in labs, provide guidance during office hours, and proctor exams under supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist students during lab sessions
• Prepare lab materials for courses
• Grade assignments, tests, and midterms
• Offer support for student problem solving
• Proctor final exams as assigned
Requirements:
• B. Sc. in Physics or equivalent
• Experience helping students with lab work
• Ability to manage grading efficiently
• Strong communication skills for student interactions
• Familiarity with lab environments and coursework
