Enhance student learning as a Biochemistry Tutor at the University of Ottawa's Main Campus. This in-person role focuses on providing guidance for introductory biochemistry courses and engaging with students daily.

The University of Ottawa is seeking five tutors for the BCH HELP CENTRE for the Winter Semester of 2027. You will assist approximately 800 students, dedicating 65 hours directly to student contact. Ideal candidates possess a strong biochemistry background and will need to pass a qualifying test if not Chemistry graduate students.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist students with introductory biochemistry concepts
• Provide in-person support during specified hours
• Engage actively with students to address their questions




• Foster a team-oriented learning environment
• Facilitate student understanding of course material

Requirements:
• Strong knowledge of biochemistry, preferably as a Chemistry major
• Outstanding academic record in relevant studies
• Completion of WHIMIS and Occupational Health and Safety training
• Testing required for non-Chemistry graduate applicants
• Must be available for the full semester
