Elevate your academic journey as a Teaching Assistant for the Introduction to Biochemistry course at the University of Ottawa. This in-person role involves supervising labs and grading reports from January to April.
As part of the Faculty of Science, you will oversee lab sessions, giving presentations while evaluating student lab performance. Responsibilities also include grading lab reports and supervising the initial lab session. Engaging with students through email communication will support their learning experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise lab sessions and evaluate student performance
• Conduct short presentations during lab activities
• Grade lab reports for your assigned sections
• Monitor one introductory lab session with no marking
• Implement safety guidelines during laboratory work
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry or equivalent
• Knowledge of biochemical techniques
• Completion of WHIMIS and Occupational Health training
• Robust communication and mentorship skills
• Commit to two terms from January to April
