Join Lookout Housing and Health Society as a Shelter Resource Worker in Vancouver, BC. Provide vital support to homeless adults in a 24/7 shelter environment while utilizing your crisis intervention skills.

As a Shelter Resource Worker, you will directly assist homeless adults facing various barriers. Working under the Site Manager’s supervision, you will conduct intakes, provide guidance, and connect clients to essential community resources. Your role contributes significantly to the shelter's mission to support vulnerable populations, requiring attention to health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide assistance and supervision to shelter guests
• Complete intakes and orientations for current guests




• Refer clients to appropriate community services
• Maintain records and statistical data accurately
• Support new staff and ensure safety compliance

Requirements:
• Related Certificate or Grade 12 plus two years experience
• Familiarity with community resources in mental health
• Current Occupational First Aid Level 1 Certificate
• Crisis Intervention and Trauma Informed Training are assets
• Criminal Record Clearance for Vulnerable Sector
