At Animal Hospital of Woodstock , students can experience a wide variety of small animal cases alongside a welcoming, collaborative team. From wellness and sick visits to diagnostics, surgery, and dentistry, our practice offers opportunities to see how veterinary medicine comes together in everyday patient care. We also offer canine reproductive services, adding variety to the learning experience.
Students are encouraged to ask questions, participate in case discussions, and build practical skills through supervised, hands-on learning appropriate to their experience. Our goal is to help students grow their confidence, strengthen clinical reasoning, and develop client communication skills while feeling like part of the team.
Most externship experiences range from two to eight weeks depending on student and hospital schedules. 3rd and 4th year veterinary student are welcome to apply for an externship at our hospital.
Veterinary students who are in the clinical portion of their education are eligible for a travel/living expense stipend.
