Engage students in the Contemporary Physics Laboratory at the University of Ottawa as a Teaching Assistant. This role involves hands-on lab preparation, grading, and direct student support.

We are seeking four Teaching Assistants for the Winter 2027 semester in the Department of Physics. Ideal candidates hold a B.Sc. in Physics or equivalent and will manage a mix of lab demonstrations, grading assignments, and providing problem-solving assistance at the Help Center in STEM. You will also participate in proctoring sessions to ensure a smooth examination process.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and execute lab demonstrations and experiments
• Mark assignments, tests, and midterms thoroughly
• Assist students with problem-solving in person




• Proctor mid-term and final examinations as required
• Participate in other assigned lab tasks

Requirements:
• B.Sc. in Physics or equivalent experience
• Strong understanding of lab-based learning
• Ability to support diverse student needs
• Experience in grading and assessment
• Excellent communication skills in English and French
