PrimaryPurposeofPosition:




VicPriestlyContractingLtd.(VPCL)islookingforaskilledandexperienced310TTruck&TrailerMechanictobecomeakeypartofourdedicatedmaintenanceteam.BasedinourfullyequippedTruck;&TrailerMechanicShop;,youwillberesponsibleforperformingadvanceddiagnostics,repairs,andpreventativemaintenanceondiesel-poweredtractorsandsemi-trailers.Thisisagreatopportunitytoworkinasupportiveenvironmentwheresafety,qualityworkmanship,andprofessionalgrowtharetoppriorities.

JobDuties

Performtroubleshooting,diagnostics,maintenance,andrepairsonheavytrucks,trailers,andrelatedequipment.

Completepreventative,predictive,scheduled,andunscheduledmaintenancetoensureequipmentremainssafe,reliable,andoperational.

Diagnosemechanicalandelectronicissuesusinginspections,roadtesting,anddiagnostictools,andcompleterepairstomanufacturerandgovernmentstandards.

Interpretworkorders,technicalmanuals,andrepairprocedurestoaccuratelycompleteassignedtasks.

Install,modify,andrepairvehiclecomponentsandadditionalequipmentasrequired.

Conductinspectionsandquick-checkstoidentifyadditionalrepairneedsorpotentialfutureissuesandcommunicatefindingstomanagement.

Repairorreplacedefectiveparts,components,andsystemsinatimelyandefficientmanner.

Assistwithmonitoringpartsinventoryandorderingreplacementequipment,parts,andsuppliesasneeded.





Accuratelycompleteworkorders,maintenancereports,andtimerecordselectronicallyoronpaper.

Testrepairedequipmenttoverifyproperperformanceandcompliancewithsafetyandmanufacturerspecifications.

Maintainacleanandsafeworkenvironmentwhileadheringtooccupationalhealthandsafetyregulations.

Performotherrelatedmechanicaldutiesasrequired.

Requirements

License Technician 310T.

5+ years of experience in the Medium / Heavy Duty truck or automotive industry.

Experience with service and repair of Hydrovac and Straight-vac trucks.

Strong understanding of product and technical knowledge.

Must be a team player with a strong sense of commitment to vehicle safety.

Must be self-motivated and have good written and verbal communication skills.

Must conduct self in a qualified manner.

Have the ability to work other shifts for coverage of sick days or vacation relief.

Have the ability to deal with large volumes of work and stressful situations.

Lead, guide and mentor apprentices in the shop.

Have a set of heavy duty mechanic tools.

Work Conditions

Travel to off-site locations may be required.

Safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots, etc.

Overtime as required.

Hazards associated with the trade.

Work both indoors and outdoors.

May be exposed to construction sites.
